NRS this fall! It's officially unofficial

#1 Post by HoneyBadger » Sat Jul 07, 2012 7:25 pm

Just wanted to share with my Curve Unit sisters (and supporters who may read this forum).

I've officially decided to do the NRS (New Racer School) with Z2 in November, and fully intend to start racing next year. I'll have a couple/few more trackdays in between now and then to iron out a few things I need to tie up, but I've become my coworkers' holiday shift bitch in order to get the Sunday following Thanksgiving off to attend.

A huge thanks to my boss for his support in making this happen!

I just wanted to share my plans with all of you, and to thank all my sisters, but especially our amazing Prez miss Amy for getting me out to the track last June for that first women's VIP day! Thanks to you I've found a passion I can't get enough of, made a lot of new friends, and have formed new relationships with some of my CU sisters that I couldn't have done anywhere else (my first RFR double header Saturday night is one night I'll never forget)!

I'll still be your ever annoying Road Captain and joining my girls very regularly on the streets on my beast, but if I can't shut up about trackdays and racing, you'll know why

You're my hero sweetie. If I was 20 years younger, I'd be there with you.

I'm actually going to be riding in B-Group that Sunday (11/25), as I had to move one of my 10-pk days around. I'll be there to cheer you on, as the NRS is at the very end of the day so you'll need all the energy you can get.

Maybe all your CU sisters can make a special trip to T-hill on November 25 to be your cheerleading section? Maybe even sign up for a riding group? What do you think girls? Can we roll deep to embarrass, I mean support our aspiring CU racer?

Only thing is if you totally suck out there AJ, I'll just pretend I'm rooting for someone else. Buuuaaah-hahahahahaha!!!!

Yay, I'll have some kind of a cheering section!! I have no intention of sucking, and if I do I blame other people :snooty:

But if I do somehow suck that bad, I'll just pretend I don't know you

And a little embarrasing would be good - help me relax and not overthink things so much!

Sis...you rock!! and will rock NRS! I got to see Carl do the NRS back in April...can't wait to see you wear that big ugly tshirt with the giant X on the back!

It is a frenetic day for you as you ride and then go into classes..even working through lunch..have to find you a pit scooter so you can get to classes faster!

I should be able to go out and be part of your cheering section..if not be riding myself!

I'll be there to cheer you on. Not sure if I'll be able to afford to do a track-day though. My youngest son is moving back in with me.

I have been invited to go to Florida possibly in November. If I don't then I will be there to cheer you on, but no trackday for me. :naughty:

It's officially official - I'm a licensed racer!

Couldn't have done it without the support of so many - so many people have helped make this happen, and I can hardly wait for next year!

Wow. Congratulations. And how convenient people didn't have to pretend not to know you and root for a total stranger.

Amen Randy! What a shame that would have been if my 3 yr. old daughter Charlotte was screaming for some random faceless rider out there. LOL!! Trying to post my pics but site is apparently pissed at me tonight. I'll try again shortly...

Congratulations AJ! Good luck and keep the rubber side up! (No, that's not right!)
I knew you could do it.
