Re: August 2012 Ride - A Tour of Marin/Sonoma!
I get lost here:
Slight left onto CA-1 S/Valley Ford Rd
Turn right onto CA-1 S/Shoreline Hwy (signs for California 1 S)
Turn left onto Fallon-Two Rock Rd
I hope the last group has search party experience. I wish the price of a motorcycle GPS would come down to that of a car GPS. While I am wishing and hoping I wish Sabrina would highlight this ride on the map. My friend Steve who was on last months ride is prepared to don a wig, falsies, and a baby sympathizer if Wren doesn't invite us to ride. Please invite us Wren, Amy, Sabrina, Patty, someone. I have seen Steve dressed as a woman and you don't want to.

I've got you covered Randy, so you just need an invite for your buddy Steve.CrashDummy wrote:I get lost here:

Thank you Amy. I think Graciela might include Steve. Josh wanted to go on this ride but he left for ten days this morning. He thinks he will be back just in time for the CU BBQ. I think that coming off Panoramic Hwy on to Pan Toll Road should read turn right not left. See you Sunday.

No, the directions are correct. I know this because I too made the same mistake you did when completing the preride. You took the first R onto Panoramic didn't you? You're suppose to skip that and go all the way into Stinson Beach on 1 before making a R on Panoramic. That gets you going in the right direction, and Pan Toll will certainly be a L.CrashDummy wrote:...I think that coming off Panoramic Hwy on to Pan Toll Road should read turn right not left. Amy, I was just looking at it on the map. If you don't turn right on Pan Toll Rd. you are bypassing West Ridgecrest Blvd and Fairfax Bolinas Rd "the technical bit". Either way you end up on Hwy 1 and the ride will be wonderful.Fanny Fligurl wrote:No, the directions are correct. I know this because I too made the same mistake you did when completing the preride. Hi Randy! I got your friend Steve covered. I"d hate to see him in a wig trying to sneak in on our ride. Wait, I just might want to see that, hahahha
see ya at the meet spot!
and... We are riding past the first Panoramic turn. We will be turning by Stinson Beach, right past the Stinson Beach Surf & Kayak, 3605 California 1, Stinson Beach, CA 94970. Try mapping this :) and it should make a whole lot more sense

Thank you Anamarie for covering Steve. I looked at the map again but still don't see how you end up riding the "technical part" without making a right on Pan Toll Rd.

its about 11 miles on shoreline then a RIGHT on Panoramic to the top and a LEFT on Pan Toll then a LEFT on Ridgecrest.
we will get there :)

Wow. I finally see what you and Amy are saying. I thought you were both map dyslexic. Map dyslexic people shouldn't lead others on road trips. See you Sunday. Annamarie will you be on two, three or four wheels?
