Curve Unit "Instant Replay" Ride - Sunday, July 8

#1 Post by Fanny Fligurl » Mon Jul 02, 2007 9:06 am

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND...

:ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride :ride

Please join us on Sunday, July 8 for a full day of twisties, great scenery, and lots of laughs in customary CU fashion.

Meet-Up Location: *Motowrx - 1204 Portola Ave., Livermore, 94550

*Motowrx will be providing free safety maintenance checks upon arrival. Chains, tire pressure, fluids, etc.....Thank you Jason, Andy, and Chet for your support!! Big hugs from Curve Unit!

Time: 8:30am if you want your safety check, 9:00am if not. Leave promptly by 9:45am *Please arrive with a full tank of gas and breakfast in your tummy*

Route Summary: Mines Rd., water break at Junction, Del Puerto Canyon, brief stint on I-5 to Patterson Pass Rd., lunch in Livermore at end of route.

This route is one of my favorites, and guarantees to be challenging, fun, and exciting! Regardless of skill level, you are encouraged to join us, ride at your own pace, and have a great time! We'll break it down into managable groups to ensure we're riding safely and looking out for everyone. Also, it is wise to bring a small snack along, because we're not stopping for lunch until early afternoon.

Can't wait to see our favorite ladies and gentlemen, and to meet many new riders on the set!
Amy

Awww, man! I won't be able to make this ride. I've been hired by this band and have rehearsal on the same day, unfortunately. On a Sunday, I'd rather be riding!

Srsly. I'm gonna be doing the valves on my bike pretty soon so I won't be busy riding all the time. It shouldn't take very long to install ONE slider. :D

I just installed my own frame sliders. Jess, you can totally do it yourself, it's hella easy. :D

Did you have to cut any fairings? Hopefully not. What kind of sliders did you get?

Not when you don't have the tools to cut into your fairings...stupid '04 600's....

Honda was smart enough to not make the 1000 RR's cut into fairings but OH NOOOOOOOO, we can't make it easy for the 600's can we???

No ma'am.....Lockhart Phillips makes a special spacer for the '07 CBR so all I had to do was remove the stock spacers without cutting the fairings. The LP frame sliders are fully adjustable so you can place them (within reason) where you want. THANK GOODNESS!

P.S.- Route updated, make sure to read above! Tee-hee!
